Project Summary

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
• Competences in agrifood systems for present and future needs
• Enhancing the co-creation of innovation and knowledge in agriculture, forestry and related bio-value chains
• Developing an innovative European science and education roadmap for sustainable agriculture
• Inducing a paradigm shift from a linear to a cyclical approach of learning
MAIN ACTIVITIES
• A shared inventory of skills needed for a transition to more competitive and sustainable agriculture and forestry system
• Improved technical and soft skills for individuals in the agrifood and forestry sector
• Greater awareness of gaps in research capacities and specific fields of science of crucial importance for sustainable agriculture
• Increased efficiency of agricultural knowledge and innovation systems in the EU (and beyond)
• Improved quality and usefulness of practice-oriented research
• Recommendations for improved policies for education and research
